Redhat 9 sound and harddrive probs

Ok this is my first post so bare with me. I tried to read the intro post bu didnt understand most of it. Ok my first problem is that my sound is not working and i think it has something to do with not mounting. and my second problem ist that i cant figure out how to acess my other partitions. Thanks

Could you give more informations about your hardware?
How many partitions do you have? Wich boot-loader do you use?

Hi,

With regard to your sound, if you are using a PNP (Plug and Play) soundcard, and your BIOS allows you to disable Plug and Play - do it. I had the same problem with my sound when I put RH9 on, but if you disable PNP in the BIOS, then when the system boots, kudzu should kick in just before x starts, and configure it for you.

its not plug and play its onboard. I dont know what bootloader. I have two partitions on the first hd then just one on the other.
