Hey!
Ok, I'm trying to get the network card to configure in RH9 with myonboard nf2 NIC....I am running 2.4.20-8, and have installed the driver from Nvidia 2.4.20-9. I am a HUGE Linux newbie, but I can't for the life of me get the network card to "Activate". Can anyone help?
I had the same problems when using the RPMs. I solved the problem by getting the source tarballs and compiling the drivers. Once you have the source tarball, open a console, cd to the directory where the file is located and do the following:
1) tar -xvfz insertfilenamehere.tar.gz
2) cd /nforce/nvnet/
3) make && make install
4) Now open /etc/modules.conf and add the following line without the quotes "alias eth0 nvnet".
5)netconfig
6)modprobe nvnet
Reboot, you should be good to go.
There should also be a Readme file in with the source that will give you these instructions.
