To display all PCI devices, type: lspci

Since you are looking for your network card, use the following command:
Code:
dmesg | grep eth[0-9]

If Linux detected the network card (realtek8029), then the driver is already loaded.

To configure the network card, you can use the GUI tool.
In the Menu, Setting Systems -> Network
Or type: redhat-config-network

no graphic interface

but i did try to configure the network and entered the info...am useing a dlink router so it should detect the new ip right away, but in this case it didn't. ran ifconfig still only get the loopback
tried modprobe on eth0 and on thertl-8029 says it can't locate the module, so not sure where to go from here but still searching. and help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Take a look at /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
If you are using DHCP, it should have at least the following:
Code:
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes
