Red hat 9 on highpoint 370

Hello,
I have a computer with win 2k pro. I would like to install red hat on my computer that has hpt370a on board.
I've already read the post about the installation of redhat 9 on hpt370a and i've tried to install redhat 9 on my computer;
however i also found the documentation and the drivers on the site of high-point. Therefore i tried to install redhat 9; the installation finished whitout problem. When i rebooted my pc, win 2k started; linux didn't work. Then i used the boot disk and linux started without problems. This thing is strange because i've configured the boot on MBR whit the right parameters that is shown in the documentation.

What Can i do to solve my problem?

When you say win2k started, did you select that as an option from lilo/grub, or did it go straight to windows?

If it went straight to windows, it may have put the bootloader on the wrong drive... what is the exact error in booting?

Cheers,

Finegan

Yesterday night i selected Grub instead Lilo and the dual boot seems working.
Is there a way to save the mbr? It's simple with win 98/me but with win 2k, i don't know.
Is there a small program that do this before anyone or anything modifying the MBR?
Thanks.
