You think it maybe your monitor? Are you getting grub or a splash image?

No monitors fine, I use a switchable Belkin setup that by tapping the scroll lock key I can switch between 2 computers. I use 1 monitor, keyboard, & mouse.

I may pull the hdd & stick another in.

I think my pci card is possessed.
