Question Reccomend a modem

Hello, I am a newbie to Linux, and am loving it! I have a dual boot WinXP Pro/Mandrake 10 setup and all seems good (so far).. I have a Diamond modem that I have been using for years and am discovering that even though it is external, it is not Linux~friendly

Would some of the seasoned vets reccomend a modem that works well and configures easily under Mandrake 10... hopefully I can find one on eBay cheap as I have gone too far on this project already...

Thanks!

-Shawn

I have a CenDyne 56k externel modem. I just installed ManDrake 10 and had no problem
configuring it to work from the installation.

Most RS-232 serial port modems should work. Look for one with the Rockwell chipset and you should be fine.

My modem is a generic and cost $45 US.
