R-333-5.TGZ (MD1724T/536EP Intel Internal PCI Modem) for Linux 2.2.14

Hello all,

I have the MD1724T Intel internal PCI modem. I downloaded the R-333-5.TGZ driver, and it needs some adjustment to work with Linux v2.2.14, my current operating system. Could anyone suggest why my hfmodem module fails to initiate on load at the main Systems -> COAS -> Kernel menu options display.

It was all unpacked and I typed three commands.

1. Make clean.
2. Make all.
3. Make isntall.

Can anyone explain what the problem with the internal modem could be. Please help.. Trying to get Caldera OpenLinux going from the library on my new/used computer from home.

Thanks,

-_Davidsmc
