Probs with Geforce2MX and USB mouse under X&Debian

I thought I had pretty standard hardware but I was wrong. In Linux there is no standard hardware . Xfree config under Debian recognizes my GF2MX as a dual head device and its not. It asks for some bus numbers and I dont have a clue what that means. Also it can not detect my M$ usb mouse. I think its xfree4.1 under mini-debian (Bonzai 1.5), which is supposed to have hardware detection. So at the end of the install instead of booting to KDE I'm booting to shell. How can I go around these problems? What values should I put for those bus numbers for the card? The sequence is smth like this 0:0:0:0.
And yes, I have enabled all possible modules in the kernel that are connected with the video card and mouse&USB.

For the time being I installed Mandrake, but I'm already fed up with the RPM dependency hell . As soon as I solve those installation issues I'm back to Deb.
So help out guys.

Download the latest Knoppix boot from it get a usable X config file and copy it to the install of bonzai. While your at it you can check the modules to make sure you have loaded the right ones.
