problems with install NVIDIA


Hi guys
When i try to install video card with NVIDIA chip.
it showa the following error msg.

"The rivafb driver conflicts with the NVIDIA driver, please reconfigure your kernel and *disable* rivafb support, then try installing the NVIDIA kernel module again."

I never install rivafb, so HOW should i disable it??

RivaFB is a console driver for nVidia cards. It's usually included in distros to maintain compatibility, but it interferes with the official nVidia driver.
That said, do an lsmod as root, then if rivafb appears in the output, remove it like this (as root):
rmmod rivafb
