I downloaded the latest driver from asus website. According to the help file included I needed to do a make install so the drivers wud be installed on mandrake 10.

It didn't say it was tested on mandrake 10 but on the following kennels does this mean I need to change my kennel. how and is it hard to do.

tested up to kennel 2.4.18

before answering your question, i'm curious as to why you're installing the driver. i have a broadcom 4401 as well and i had mandrake 10 running on it earlier without having to install any drivers or do any configuration.

to find out your kernel version "uname -a" at the terminal. as long as you have a kernel version before 2.4.18, you're good. if not, it'll probably still work.

Also I accessed my router via a different pc the machine running linux wasn't logged as connected to the router. only one entry there and there were only two pcs on.
