Problems compiling "martian-full" for Agere modem with Fedora 16

I had no trouble compiling the drivers - "martian" - for Agere Systems LT WinModem with Fedora 14 but run into problems with Fedora 16 kernel. I can't find a more recent version of "martian-full", the tgz package to compile the driver "martian-dev" and the program "martian_modem". The latest I can find is martian-full-20100123. Does anyboy know where I can find a more recent version or has development stopped? Or can anybody suggest a hack to make it compile with kernel 3.1.0-7.fc16.i686.PAE ? Thanks ahead of time.

Okay I got this to compile by editing the Makefile. I can't say I hacked it because I'm not a programmer. See the attached files, one the original Makefile and the other the edited one. I then ran
Code:
make all
, which went well then
Code:
make install
. I did
Code:
modprobe martian_dev
then
Code:
martian_modem --daemon
both of which loaded and produced the device /dev/ttySM0. Running
Code:
pppd
then and I'm good to go. Hope this helps somebody. Peace!
