problem with detecting hard drive during installing linux
hi everyone
i have a porbleme with my hp invent dc9500 small from factor
during installing elementary os when i choose the lang then next it show no hard drive just empty screen like that http://i42.tinypic.com/262wmcj.png
@s-mec: The Device for boot loader installation seems to be a pull-down menu. Any other entries available besides /dev/sda?
Also: Could it be that /dev/sda is already fully allocated? I'm not familiar with Bodhi Linux (taken from your profile), but some distro's leave the allocated stuff alone (default option) and you need to tell it to use all. This is most often asked before you allocate (new) partitions.
You should have either a drop down menu at the top similar to GParted allowing you to select hard drives or the main window should show at least /dev/sda if you have no partitions/filesystems or data on a drive. Your drive is not recognized for some reason. What kind of drive and how many do you have? The /dev/sda at the bottom is the default setting for bootloader installation. Did you check the connections for your drive?
