Go to Gnome top menu bar, System, Administration, Priting. In the printer Configuration window, click the New button, Forward in the wizard, in the queue name add a simple and yet descriptive name for your printer, like hp1100 - do not use spaces or special characters, keep it simple - in the short description field you can use spaces, punctuation, etc. Click on the forward button on the bottom, and in Queue type, choose Networked Jetdirect, in the printer field type the ip of your printer server. If it has one parallel port leave the 9100, if it has 2 parallel ports, use 9100 for the printer connected to the 1st parallel port and 9101 for the printer connected to the 2nd parallel port. In the next window, select the manufacturer and model. That's it !
