We are dual booting Xandros 4.1 and OCE 4.5 ..the HP deskjet 4260 printer works fine when using 4.1 but will not print anything in OCE 4.5.

the printer properties says it is not connected but when jobs are sent to print the printer state changes from idle accepting jobs to busy ..and print jobs viewer says job is processing ....but nothing prints

we are using foomatic + hpijs ..the same as 4.1

Look into using HPLip. It's not officially supported by HP, but they endorse it. You can find it on sourceforge or you can go through HP's site to find it on sourceforge.
