pocket pc that runs linux so i can sync with a linux desktop
i know of this may have been asked before and there are loads of posts in many forums but i have just about given up on windows (well 99%).
The only device i have left is a HP ipaq h1930 (asamsung s3c2410). Is there a way of getting linux on to this device so i can sync this with Evolution 2 without any problems.
........OR .............
Is there a pocket PC that runs linux already that i can buy that will do the job.
Im looking for a...
calendar
tasks
note pad
address book.
so what way do i keep going. at the moment i have running Ubuntu 7.10 and Virtual box with Win XP just for my Ipaq to sync with outlook (no emails).
yep i have tried synce, about 8 months - 1 year ago but couldn't get it to work right, it would only sync all the new entries over none of the new.
I posted on here and on the ubuntu sites but the teckys that was answering the posts what unable to help me more to get it to sync right.
In the end i installed Virtual Box and used Windows XP and ActiveSync 4.5 to get it to work, Now that ubuntu have changed the way USB is handled in 7.10 i am unable to get this to work now.
so it looks like im back to square one, unless the Synce project has got better or should i say with the many many disto's out there working with the many many Windows CE , Pocket PC, and all the rest of the stuff people have.
I am in no way blaming any body in this or any of the hard work people and the many project teams what do work hard to give us "users" GPL software.
