Arrow PCMCIA modem


Where can i buy a 100% linux compatible PCMCIA 56k modem ? by 100%, i mean someting that is very easy to install and set up and go online with.

im looking for something under about $35. i would like to know name brands, model types, and web address/store names of where to buy them.

just about anywhere

practically all of the 16 bit ones are compatible

probably looking for Hayes compatible would not be a bad idea

I would also like to know this! I mean really a few current and available products that I can order or buy off the shelf. "Practically every" doesn't really help because it mean NOT EVERY.

I have also given up with the internal modem of my Compaq Armada 1750. I want to install a PCMCIA modem that really works.

All the ones I've tried work
I have a Viking Components 56K
I have a Linksys 56K
You should check with the manufacturer before buying it.
