PCI revision 2.2 problem

Hi :-)

I have a ECS k7SOM+ motherboard with pic2.2 support only. I use debian 3.0rc2 with bf.24 (kernel 2.4.18). I try to configure a rtl8139, but the system does not find it, as I suposed it had to. Running dmesg I see 2 lines that, with my inexpert eyes, means a good trouble:

PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at 0xfdb01, last bus 2
PCI: System does not support PCI

How do I enable the PCI revision 2.2 support? What kernel does has support for it?

thanks,

Nathan.
