Question PC Harddrive in a Mac


I just bought a iMAC on ebay cuz I was bored, figured I run yellowdog on it or something, ques is can I put my WD 80GB in it? I was looking around at mac sites for hdd's and noticed there all eide. Is it just the formating?

Yes, I think all iMACs use regular IDE disks so you should be able to pop your old PC disk in there. I have switched 2.5" disks back and forth between Powerbooks and Dells/Thinkpads and never had any problems.

On older Macs - and recent but more expensive ones - you're likely to find a SCSI disk subsystem. But as long as it's IDE just go ahead.
