Hello, I just donīt know what more to do with my hsf56 PCTel modem, and I tryied so many things, that I have a huge headache, so... if you know exactly what to do please tell me, otherwise, and if I can not make it work, Iwill just get back to Windows;
I donīt want to with the troubles of windows that made me turn on Linux, but------->> Technology not usefull, is useless.
Well my modem is an hsf micromodem PCTel 7890, and using on Suse9.1,
there is installed hsflinmodem (with Suseīs Pro cdīs) and this still donīt work,; wvdial says modem not responding, kppp tests the /devttyS0 success, but at the dial log, there are only bin digits, Kinternet says that snmpppd is disconncected and unable to connect------I am VERY Frustrated, and sleepy

Step by step insstructions. Hope you enjoy them!

Step 1. Take screwdriver, preferably Phillips head as its the normal computerr screw, and remove case of computer.

Step 2. Take said screwdriver, and remove mounting screw from modem card.

Step 3. Remove modem card, and place upon safe, non-static surface.

Step 4. Take modem and safe, non-static surface, and proceed to nearest superhighway.

Step 5. Carefully, very carefully, lay modem in middle of superhighway when no cars are present.

Step 6. Wait for 18 wheeler, and feel satisfaction at results of tires meeting modem on highway.

Step 7. Proceed to electronics store, and buy an external, non-usb modem, which should work perfectly and prevent all future headaches. :-D
