Nvida


Why are these cards such a problem? I installed FC1 with no problems at all with the video, and i've updated the kernal twice and still had no problems with the display. Fedora Core even reconizes the exact video card model. This might be a stupid question, but i'd like to know.

I thought it was ATI that had the problems. I have had absolutely no prblems with my Nvidia cards in any distrobution.

maybe, but do you have 3d acceleration??
a default install of any distro will get your video card to
work..........but you do need 3rd party drivers to get
3d working properly..........LOL

Hmm. 3D. Why in the world would that have to be nessary? Unless your going to play games, I guess that's where the problem lies...

Do you mean installing the Nvidia drivers from nvidia?

That is so easy I cand even begin to comprehend why people have problems

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run
