So I muted my sound on my computer running Fedora 18 (32-bit) and now when I raise the volume it produces no sound from the speakers. This computer is dual boot with XP so I booted that and sound works fine. I even tried another set of speakers and no go in Fedora.

I have tried a variety of settings and when it wasn't working in XFCE I installed Gnome, booted up with that and still no difference. I uninstalled alsa-plugins, etc. and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
