no USB on FC3 ??

I've just done a fresh install of FC3 w/2.6.11.7 compiled in. Can't get the USB system up for some reason. USB is built-in to the kernel. The system checks my USB hub, registers it, and then disconnects - never to return. At my wits end. Suggestions Please!

Absolutely nothing in /var/log/messages. The doggone thing woked like a champ w/ FC1 under the older 2.4.xx kernel and still works under various live CDs. I don't see any USB mentioned in the lsmod. SCSI and Firewire work fine, too.

What a knuckle-head! I did a quick lsmod looking for something else and noted that there was no apparent OHCI. Pushed it in with modprobe ohci_hcd and all of the lights lit (not just in my head).

Sometimes just talking about a problem leads to the solution.
