Post No Sound

I got a new laptop and the found is just not configuring. I installed Linux Mint 20.2, I tried to follow a few websites and they did not work.

Code:
System:
  Host: quickfox Kernel: 5.4.0-84-generic x86_64 bits: 64
Desktop: MATE 1.24.0 Distro: Linux Mint 20.2 Uma
Machine:
Type: Laptop System: Dell product: Inspiron 3501 v: N/A serial:
  Mobo: Dell model: 0XGX0C v: A00 serial:
  UEFI: Dell v: 1.7.1 date: 07/05/2021
Audio:
  Device-1: Intel driver: snd_hda_intel
  Sound Server: ALSA v: k5.4.0-84-generic
I am hoping for a solution.

Here is my output from lsmod

Code:
lsmod | grep snd_hda_intel
snd_hda_intel 53248 5
snd_intel_dspcfg 28672 3 snd_hda_intel,snd_sof_pci,snd_sof_intel_hda_common
snd_hda_codec 135168 4 snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_intel,snd_soc_hdac_hda
snd_hda_core 90112 8 snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_ext_core,snd_hda_codec,snd_sof_intel_hda_common,snd_soc_hdac_hda,snd_sof_intel_hda
snd_pcm 106496 9 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_sof,snd_sof_intel_hda_common,snd_soc_core,snd_hda_core,snd_pcm_dmaengine
snd 90112 21 snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hwdep,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_timer,snd_compress,snd_soc_core,snd_pcm,snd_rawmidi
Thanks in advance

Sound and microphone issues

If you're facing issues with your microphone or your sound output, please install "pavucontrol".

This will add "PulseAudio Volume Control" to your menu. This application has more configuration options than the default volume control.
install it.

I installed it(pavucontrol) and it is still not working. Does PulseAudio work with ALSA? Is there a way to get Mint to try configure sound back to the way it was after the install? After following some of these web sites, it no longer even detects the output hardware.
