I’ve been having a lot of success with the Liquorix low latency kernel rather than the real time kernel.

Yeah, this has nothing to do with a kernel. It has to do with jack and pulseaudio being a nightmare. Also, low latency and RT kernel are not really necessary. With the standard kernel there is no latency issues.

Actually your little right and a huge amount wrong. It is about learning your tools.
RT is a simple thing. Pulsaudio is a sound server nothing more nothing less Asla runs the system. Pulse is like a front end.
You may sync Pulseaudio that is run by Jack. Then let the front end of Pavuctrl set the device that jack has set the input and output.
I have been building studios for years now. I laugh at the stuff people say about pulseaudio.

They have no clue how to use that server.
Here you want real time and jacked all that stuff, then learn your servers.
I prefer qjacktcl here are my scripts to sync your system.with jacked alsa pulseaudio and use them.
How to

learning this you can be a professional DJ take calls on phone skype etc live broadcast to youtube twitch etc.
use SSR to record all your devices etc etc.

Yes I realize you can install pulseaudio-jack and run it. That does not fix the issue I'm talking about. If I have jack running, and the device is my USB interface, it will work through that interface. If I want to route it out of the HDMI, there is not easy way to switch over. Jack by nature can only control one device at a time. You have to stop jack, choose the video card as the device and then restart jack. That's a pain.

Now since you've been building studios for years and laugh at people like me, I'd love to hear you info on how to do this.
