NFS&SNMP conflict

Hello all,

I'm in RHEL 6.3 and I'd like to mount a disk SAN using NFS, till there it's working I can mount it but when I try to write on the disk it's hunging and SNMP service is disturbed. When I stop SNMP service, it's working fine.

Could you help to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if I can help but what do you mean by "SNMP service is disturbed"?

Also, when anything goes wrong, check the log files. Not sure where SNMP logs are, but if there are problems with NFS there is a chance you find something in the syslog; /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages depending on distro. And check both on the client and the server (if it's an appliance, you need to figure out where its logs are).

Hi,

In fact, we have monitoring tool using SNMP and when I mounted the SAN, the SNMP sends many false alerts, that's I mean by disturbed.
