nForce2 sound on Debian Etch

Hi,

I'm currently using Debian Etch (kernel 2.6.8-2-k7) and I'm trying to get my nForce2 sound to output via the digital output. I have installed the nForce drivers from nVidia's website (Ver. 1.0-0306). However, it is still using the i810_audio driver.

I have tried looking for references to it in "/etc/modules.d". However, I cannot find any references to it

Any help would be much appreciated

Derek.

You don't need the Nvidia drivers to do that. Run alsaconf then launch alsamixer and unmute the output corresponding to your digital output. If it's an optical one, then you'll see some red light.
