Unhappy Netgear wireless on RH

Hello,

I'm really struggleing here to get this wlan card working. I followed the directions on this site : http://www.paulgrenyer.co.uk/article...edhat_9_0.html

I did everything it says, but when the bootup occurs, I simply get: "Starting pcmcia: Done", with no reference to the card, like I should get.

This is an older Hitachi laptop, and redhat 8.

By the way, the little green light on the card never lights.

Thanks,

Update: It now reads in run level 3:

ds: no socket drivers loaded

How can I fix this?

Thanks,
