Hi! I bought a dvd-burner a couple of days ago. The first problem was to install fc5. Tried to install several times with different package copy errors in the install. Burned a new dvd (the old one work on another computer) and everyting installed fine. Now when i try to burn cds with k3b i got an SAO error, saying to try TAO instead. Then it displays an error with fixating the cd, or something like that.

Today I try to install winxp through vmware, and it fails on different files / stages during install... Fresh cd wich works on another computers!

Any ideas? Is it the dvdburner or may all this just be an another failure?

I'm currently getting the same 'SAO try TAO error' with CD-RWs with k3b 0.12.15. Using TAO does work. I'm therefore suspicious that this is a bug introduced in the latest version of k3b. Burning a DVD-RW worked on auto settings, and my CD-RWs were previously fine.

Bought a nec 3500 and now it works!
