My wireless card (broadcom) is not working no matter what i tried........


hi
i just installed linux(kubuntu 9.04) yesterday and im having a very bad time trying to use my wireless internet..im a complete newbie and i dont know anything on linux...i need help badly...
im using a dell vostro 1500..
i think my wireless inbuilt card is broadcom 440x...
i have used ndiswrapper to install driver....
and even my wifi light on my laptop is not turning on...
i need urgent help....i have been trying to fix this issue with my wireless network for the last 6 hrs and i an frustrated....please help fast....
