Question MP3 Player reported as USB LCD Example???

I am having some real problems trying to mount my mp3 player in linux.
When I plug it in a new USB Device is listed in "usb ohci root hub 2" called "USB LCD Example". how am I supposed to mount this if linux doesn't even detect it as anything more than an LCD screen?

i checked /var/log/messages when i connected the player and this is what I saw:

Jun 15 11:30:05 localhost kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 3
Jun 15 11:30:05 localhost kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0xf9c/0x411) is not claimed by any active driver.
Jun 15 11:30:08 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: ... no modules for USB product f9c/411/1

[EDIT]
The following modules were running when I connected the player:

Is hotplug working correctly? Try:
modprobe usb-storage

I loaded usb-storage but it still comes up as an LCD screen. I am new to linux, so could you tell me the general way that you would mount an mp3 player so that I can try that and report back my problems? I have tried a few methods but all seemed to be too specific to the model that was being mounted
