mounting usb fat32 screws up parition

Hello,

I have put a laptop harddrive in an USB case, and formatted it in windows. I can mount the drive in linux(FC4) and read/write without a problem, but when try to use it in windows the diskmanager says it is an 'unkown partition' And i'm unable to connect a driveletter to the drive.

I reformatted a couple of times, but it just seems that once i've mounted it in FC4 windows doesn't recognise the partition anymore.

Does anyone knows how this is solved or what is causing this?

As a Fat32 partition

Solved it Guys!

I have a dual boot and my bootmanager makes my partition hidden when it plugged during a boot. very stupid, but it has nothing to do with linux.
