thanks, but that really didn't do anything. It opens a file, but I don't know waht to do in there..There is no "blacklist file in that directory. Anyways, that would just make the package available for edit in slaptget, or would that start udev?

ok maybe it's /etc/slaptrc someting like that.

you need to use your own inititive a bit. i found it on my system last night.

I am just really lost right now, I didn't know where this was going.
I edited that file, and now udev and hotplug shows in slaptget. Are you recommending just to upagrade udev? I know that is what you said b4, I just wanna make sure!
