mounting ipod shuffle


when i try and mount my ipod shuffle i get this

root@acadia:~# mount /root/ipod
mount: unknown filesystem type ''
root@acadia:~#

my dmesg looks like this

and my fstab looks like this

what do i need to do to get this littel piece of plastic to work for me... im also using ht newest version of gtkpod once i get it giong

Try this
Code:
mount /dev/sda1 <mountpoint>
where <mountpoint> is the your mount point, eg, /mnt/usb or /media/iPod or whatever. I would not recommend mounting it to a mountpoint within /root, because /root is root's home directory, which is equivalent of /home for your regular user account.

If that doesn't work, and you've formatted the iPod with the FAT32 filesystem, try adding "-t vfat" immediately after "mount" in the above command
