I am currently using Mandrake 9.2 on the hp pavilion ze4400. I am setting up hotkeys for my programs, so I'm trying to get rid of all my desktop icons. The cdrom icon is being a bad boy.

The only right click options on my cd-rom icon are 'Open|Actions;unmount||Properties.'

When I 'umount /mnt/cdrom', the icon disappears, and when I mount it, the icon is back on my desktop. -I need a way to mount the cdrom drive without the icon coming onto my desktop.-


P.S. - The icon also will not move anywhere, such as the home folder, trash, etc. It just says 'copy here|link here|cancel.'
