Monitor/Mouse/KB switch box and MDK 8.2 don't mix

Hi,

I posted a question in the Newbie section about my MDK 8.2 box hanging all the time. I think I now have more information about it. I have a switch box that switches the kb/mouse and monitor between 3 PCs one of which has MDK 8.2 installed. This worked fine with MDK 8.0 which was stable (but did not support my USB ADSL modem).

I note that everytime I have been using the other PC for long enough for the Linux box to sleep that I lose the screen , kb and mouse to the point where none of the left ALt+Sys Req+r etc. work at all and it is the reset button every time.

However it is not just this, sometimes when I am using it it hangs totally, reset button time.

Any ideas on how I can find the problem? Otherwise it is back to NT4 for me.

David
