Unhappy Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer Doesn't Work in Redhat 8.0

I am running Redhat 8.0 under VMWare. For somereason, when I run x, my mouse does not work. If anyone has had a similar problem, or has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

is your mouse set up correctly in the /etc/X11/XF86Config file? Is your mouse configured as "CorePointer" in the section "ServerLayout"?

hope this helps
