may the NVIDIA GeForce 2 be with me

OK I just install the GLX and the nvidia kernel to my redhat 7.2. Then I edited the X86Config-4 file according to the nvidia readme. What I did in the X86Config-4 was changing the 'nv' to 'nvidia' and disable the 'dri' and 'GLcore'.Then came the dark forces. My X windows won't start. This is the error messages in the XFree86.0.log:-

(EE) NVIDIA(0): No modes remaining for Display Device 0
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(II) UnloadModule: "nvidia"
.
.
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error: no screens found

Any info will be appreciate

Make sure that load "glx" IS in yer XF86Config-4. Try doing an xf86config or Xconfigurator again, change the new file per NVidia's readme and then try it.

Did you download the files specific to your RH? If you've compiled your own kernel (i.e. you're not using the one that came with RH) then the RH download ones won't work...you'll have to download the source and do it from there.
