Logitech MX700, how do I get my side buttons working?

I got the mouse installed quite easily thanks to previous threads, BUT I havent been able to use the side buttons <forward & back> to work. when I was using the XF86Config everybody else has been using:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Logitech MX700"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false"
Option "Buttons" "7"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
EndSection

I was unable to scroll with the wheel, but the side buttons would scroll, so I changed ZAxisMapping to "4 5" and that allowed me to scroll with the wheel, but buttons 6 and 7 become unusable. I don't care about using them for back-and-forth, but would like to get them working so I can use them on my games (as they aren't detected) ...

< I LOVE CVSWINEX !! >

Thanx in advance....
