Logitech EX100 cordless keyboard and mouse

Hi,

I'm trying to get this appliance working on boot. When I do boot up with the usb receiver connected, the OS screen freezes. Neither the keyboard or the mouse respond and the 'boot automatically in 25 seconds' panel. doesn't show.

I'm using Linux Mint 10 with Mepis 8.5.03 as an alternative. I can't select either OS. No movement at all.

Now, if I boot up using my wired keyboard and wired mouse everything is okay. If, then, I change over to using the wireless keyboard and mouse they then work okay.

I'd appreciate help here, please. I'm enamoured of a no-wire desktop.

A development: after much swapping about and rebooting, the 'highlighted application will boot in 25 seconds' statement is now showing and working.

However, the keyboard still will not work which means I can't select Mepis instead of the highlighted Mint.

Is it the case that...

Can you use your USB wireless keyboard to enter your BIOS? If not, have you enabled legacy USB support(USB 1.1) in the BIOS settings? You may also need to enable the settings for USB mouse and USB keyboard.

More details about what you did trying to make it work and what were the results would be helpful.

thorkelljarl,

You're a flaming genius. I enabled the settings in the bios that you mentioned and all is now well. I have the choice of two OS's again.

I'd never have found that out for myself. Many thanks.
