lirc and X without keyboard

Hi,

I would like to use the keyboard emulator of "lirc" called "irxevent" in order to use X with infrared remote and keyboard.
It is possible to do that when a PS/2 keyboard is plugged at the boot of the computer and at the boot of X ; but it doesn't works if I boot the computer and X without a keyboard plugged on it !!!

How to configure Linux (XF86Config I suppose) in order to make the keyboard active even if there is no keyboard plugged on the computer ?

Thanks

i believe that if you were to edit the XF86Config file and comment out the keyboard in the "ServerLayout" section it should not worry about a missing keyboard.
