Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Linux Intenet Router

I would like to purchase a low power computer with two network cards, that can be used as a internet router. I am currently using an old desktop for this function and it is currently approaching the end of its life. I would prefer it come with linux pre installed, so that I have a minimum of configuration. But I would consider other alternatives.

Thx, Terry

What about a dedicated router that runs a Linux firmware, such as the Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT? Price and energy consumption will be unbeatable with x86 hardware, and DD-WRT is about as advanced as a router OS gets.
