Linux and AMD on a HP ze4200 laptop

Does anyone know if Linux RH 8.0 can be installed on a labtop with AMD processor. Mine is an HP ze4200, AMD1800, 386Mb RAM, 20 Gig HD. RH 8.0 just hang at the dialog box asking if I want to read-test the install CD ?

I have installed this same RH 8.0 on my AMD desktop with no issue at all.
Thanks.

Mine would do that to, I have a ze4300 series. Enter your bios and make sure that legacy usb support is disabled. It will allow you to use the keyboard (which made me think it froze). ANother way is to keep hitting enter while it boots but i dont recommend this way...sometimes it makes more trouble. Hope this helps
