LCD Acer AL1916Wide 1440x900 px

I have bought LCD Acer AL1916Wide 1440x900 px and i can't find any way to set up X to use its natural resolution 1440x900. It allways downgrade my settings in XF86Config-4 file and use standard 1280x1024 resolution, which is not accepted by LCD monitor. Do any of you have experiences with unstandard resolutions and configuring X-es?

Thanks o lot guys.

Hi.
Thanks for reply, i have already solved the problem.

I needed to set precise modeline for that LCD. If anyone has same LCD, use this modeline in xorg.conf file:

modline "1440x900" 106.47 1440 1520 1672 1904 900 901 904 932 -hsync +vsync

and then just add mode "1440x900" to proper section.

This works for Acer LCD at 60Hz.

Have a nice day ;-)

and, let's not forget, i althought needed to set up Hsync and Vsync properly, and it does NOT work with those official numbers for that LCD.

I needed this:
31.5 - 100
59 -75

It is strange a bit.
