Keyboard input problems in Debian Woody
I just replaced my Red Hat 9 with Debian Woody. Rh9 had no problems with the keyboard. It dual boots with XP, where the keyboard also works fine. However, in Debian the keyboard has really started acting up. This happens no matter if I am running a terminal window in X or just from the console. It is really erratic. Sometimes, if I press a key, it won't display on the screen, sometimes, it displays fine, and sometimes, it will print out the one character 9 times. It is exactly 9 times every time it does it.
This is really annoying because I either have to hit the same key several times for it to work, or it will print it out 9 times, and then I have to backspace (hoping all the time that it won't backspace 9 times every time I hit the backspace key.) I don't think it is a hardware problem because it works fine in Windows, and did before in RH9.
I am using a Wireless Logitech "Cordless Desktop Pro" keyboard. If I understand wireless logitech keyboards, I think the OS sees it as just a normal keyboard. What could be causing this malfunction, and how can I fix it? Also, the mouse works great in X, so it's just a keyboard problem. Thanks.
