Keyboard + apple juice = slow keys...

Ok, silly place to put a glass of juice. Anyhow, thought I had got it all out but they keys are very slow and sticky. Any good, safe, ways to clean it up a bit?
Was thinking putting some water in it but not sure about killing it... tho it did survive quite a lot of juice...

Be sure to shutdown the PC.
Use 100% isopropyl alcohol (not the drugstore stuff i.e cassette tape cleaner or equiv) and a small brush or Qtip. Apply the alcohol to the Qtip or brush. If still no luck then you might need to remove the keys. Without looking at the keyboard I do not know if this is possible.

Actually, what most won't tell you is... You can put a keyboard in the dishwasher set with cold water(hot water does melt plastic). Just put in a touch of soap, then there you go. Wait for it to FULLY dry, and you are set.

If you think I am kidding, I am not. I used to work at a university where we had a ton of computers to loan out to students. And we found that was the easiest way to wash grimey keyboards. Just be sure to use cold water, you don't want to melt plastic. Remeber, circuity isn't anti-water but hot(active) circuitry is anti-water. So you can just unplug normal keyboards and clean them the easy way.

We never tried with a wireless, so I won't tell you same goes there, you would have to at least take out the main batteries, but I think some of them have backups, and capacitors that hold a charge. You would not want to wash these.

In that case, it would likely be safer to just go with the old tried and true q-tip and alchohol method.

I can back up RedShirt's comment about just dunking the keyboard in water, and then letting it dry thoroughly before attempting to us it. This is definitely a last-ditch effort, and not necessarily recommended for routine cleaning, but it can revive an otherwise dead keyboard. Obviously this is not appropriate for equipment containing batteries, etc, but for standard keyboards it might be worth a shot.

In either event, worst case scenario is that you'd need to buy a new keyboard, which isn't all that terrible.
