I installed my Canon Mp500 on a (K)ubuntu 6.10 system with all the appropriate drivers, pointed CUPS to the appropriate .ppd file and everything came back as working, except it refuses to print anything. The page gets sent to the printer then just chills there.
Note: I have installed the printer using the network utility (
http://localhost:631/) as well as using the included utilities. Both have failed equally.
I am inclined to think it is because a process is not running, however searching the forums and google both came up empty.
Any suggestions would be great.
Cheers,
Nils
