ipod does not list songs correctly

Hi,
I've an ipod mini wich I originally configured under windows with ITunes. Now I've put some new mp3 songs on it with amarok via ipodsalve integration. The Transfer seems to have worked correctly, when I plug it in I can see all the old songs and the new ones. But on the ipod I only see a small amount of the songs ( could be 256) which are definitely on the ipod, I know , because they are on it since a couple of months. It seems that the database that says the ipod which songs are on its harddrive hasn't been updated correctly by ipodslave. Any suggestions what I can do, so it writes the DB correctly? I already tried to manage the ipod with gtkpod but could not sync.

P.S. I know there are some threads that seem to be connected to this issue but I haven't found a solution in them.
