Post iomega hipzip

Good day everyone.
I am a newbie. Recently installed Red Hat 7.3 and am trying to get my iomga hipzip to work.

According to the dmesg output, the device is on /dev/sda

when I try to mount the device it gives "invalid fs...error" or invalid block device.

the mount command I was using is:

mount -t vfat /dev/sda /mnt/hipzip

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Welcome to LQ, toad.

Try mounting it without specifying which filesystem, hopefully it would autodetect and mount with the correct filesystem.

Oh, and if this is anything similar to the plain-Zip drive, then you might also want to try mounting /dev/hda4.

Hipzip

That did it, thanks Thymox.

The correct mount statement is:
mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /mnt/hipzip

Thank you all very much!
