Internal LCD stopped working AFTER externel crt detected

I have an ibtm t30 and its been working great however today I plugged an external crt into it for the first time, the crt worked with kde great. When I unplugged the crt, and rebooted, the lcd went blank after X started. When I plug the externel crt back in, it displays X on the crt and NOT the lcd. The bios are set properly, but still no go.

Any ideas on how to reset the default video output to the LCD and not the CRT?

Many thanks,
John

I tried using fn-f7 to switch between internal/external displays however it does nothing after the screen goes blank. I can't switch sessions either using ctl+alt+f$x.

Finally found the solution! Add the following options to xorg.conf under the "Device" Section for the radeon driver.

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "radeon"
Option "BusType" "AGP" # It was loooking for a pci!
Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS" #We want to use the internal lcd as the primary device
Option "BIOSHotKeys" "true" # Lets enable those because radeon had no right to disable them in the first place!
EndSection

I spent 4 hours trying to solve this problem. I really hope this saves someone else the headache!

'man radeon' for more specific driver configuration options!
