Hi everyone,

Has anyone else had this problem? I have an IBM Intellistation Pro, Pentium III 500Mhz and I installed Debian 3.0 on it. I'm using it as a web server. It works fine while you are actually using it. But after a few hours, the screen goes blank like it does when the powersave on the monitor comes on but it doesn't want to wake up. I cant get it to wake up after hitting keys or moving the mouse and it doesn't respond to pings.. and of course the webserver doesn't work either. The only thing to tell you that the machine is still alive is the Power LED on the front of the box.

The only way I can get it going it again is by holding down the power button to force it to shutdown and then restarting it again.

Any ideas?

(I tried hunting for a BIOS update but IBM dont seem to have one for this model...)

Try turning APM of in the BIOS.

Doh! Sometimes we miss the obvious... thanks - I think that worked!
